Career Bio

Dallas Trinity FC brings home a Texas native and Champions League veteran with the signing of midfielder Carissa Boeckmann, a San Antonio product who has already won a Portuguese league title.

Boeckmann starred at Antonian College Preparatory before playing collegiately at Texas A&M and, later, Florida State, where she started every game of her senior season and helped the Seminoles win their fifth consecutive ACC Tournament title. A defensive midfielder by trade, she showed surprising scoring touch along the way, tallying 20 goals across two summers with Tampa Bay United in the USL W League and earning Southeast Division Player of the Year honors in 2022.

Boeckmann turned professional with the NWSL’s Portland Thorns in 2025, making her debut with an assist in the CONCACAF W Champions Cup before transferring to Portugal’s SL Benfica. There, she won the Campeonato Nacional Feminino championship and gained UEFA Women’s Champions League experience — a résumé few players in the Gainbridge Super League can match.

Now Boeckmann brings her work rate, distribution, and international pedigree back home to Texas with Dallas Trinity FC as the club continues its push in the Gainbridge Super League.
