Former Dallas Regional Chamber leader brings decades of experience in sports, business and civic leadership to Dallas soccer
DALLAS (September 29, 2026) — USL Dallas, the parent organization overseeing Atlético Dallas, Dallas Trinity FC, Atlético Dallas Youth, announced today that Dale Petroskey has been named President of USL Dallas. Petroskey’s role will help strengthen partnerships across the North Texas region and support the club’s long-term growth.
Petroskey brings decades of leadership experience across professional sports, business and major national institutions. He served as President and CEO of the Dallas Regional Chamber (DRC) for nearly 12 years until 2025. During his tenure, the DRC was named National Chamber of the Year in 2022 by the Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives. In 2025, he was inducted into the Dallas Business Hall of Fame.
“Dale knows Dallas and he’s a community builder who knows how to bring people together around ambitious ideas,” said Matt Valentine, founder and chairman of USL Dallas. “His experience across sports, business and civic leadership will help us strengthen every part of this organization as Atlético Dallas prepares for its first season and Dallas Trinity FC continues to grow.”
Prior to joining the DRC, Petroskey held several executive roles, including Executive Vice President of Marketing and Community Engagement with the Texas Rangers Baseball Club; President of the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum; Senior Vice President of Mission Programs at National Geographic; and Assistant White House Press Secretary to President Ronald Reagan.

Petroskey remains deeply engaged in the Dallas region through his service on numerous boards, including the Texas Rangers Baseball Foundation, the Dallas Mavericks Advisory Council, Clayton Kershaw’s Challenge Foundation Board, and the SMU Lyle School of Engineering advisory board.
The appointment comes as USL Dallas builds its professional soccer, hospitality and entertainment operations in North Texas. Atlético Dallas is set to begin USL Championship play at the Cotton Bowl in 2027, while Dallas Trinity FC is currently competing in their third season in the Gainbridge Super League.

Dale Petroskey es nombrado presidente de USL Dallas
El exlíder de la Cámara Regional de Comercio de Dallas aporta décadas de experiencia en el deporte, los negocios y el liderazgo cívico al fútbol de Dallas
DALLAS (29 de septiembre de 2026) — USL Dallas, la organización matriz de Atlético Dallas, Dallas Trinity FC y Atlético Dallas Youth, anunció hoy el nombramiento de Dale Petroskey como presidente de USL Dallas. Desde este cargo, Petroskey contribuirá a fortalecer las alianzas en el Norte de Texas y a impulsar el crecimiento de la organización a largo plazo.
Petroskey cuenta con décadas de experiencia de liderazgo en el deporte profesional, los negocios y destacadas instituciones nacionales. Fue presidente y director ejecutivo de la Cámara Regional de Comercio de Dallas (DRC, por sus siglas en inglés) durante casi 12 años, hasta 2025. Bajo su dirección, la Asociación de Ejecutivos de Cámaras de Comercio nombró a la DRC Cámara del Año a nivel nacional en 2022. En 2025, ingresó al Salón de la Fama Empresarial de Dallas.
