Patriot League Midfielder of the Year joins Dallas following record-breaking senior season at Boston University
DALLAS (September 22, 2026) – Dallas Trinity FC announced today that it has signed midfielder Giulianna Gianino to a contract through the 2027 season. The transaction is pending league and federation approval.
Gianino spent four seasons at Boston University, finishing her collegiate career tied for first in program history with 25 assists. She also scored 25 career goals, ranking seventh in program history. In 2025, she set a program single-season record with 15 assists and led NCAA Division I with 0.79 assists per game.
Gianino was named the 2025 Patriot League Midfielder of the Year and Scholar-Athlete of the Year and earned All-ECAC First Team and All-Patriot League First Team honors. She was an All-Patriot League First Team selection in each of her final three seasons and earned Patriot League Rookie of the Year honors in 2022.
“Giulianna has consistently shown the ability to create chances and produce at a high level,” said Brian Corcoran, Sporting Director for Dallas Trinity FC. “Her vision, technical quality and competitiveness fit the profile we want in our midfield. We are excited to bring her to Dallas and support her transition to the professional game.”
Dallas Trinity FC leads the league in completed passes under First Team Manager and Technical Director Lee Nguyễn. Gianino’s playmaking ability and record-setting assist production give Dallas another creative option in midfield.
“Giulianna sees the game quickly and plays with purpose,” Nguyễn said. “She is comfortable receiving the ball in tight spaces, connects play well and has the final pass to create opportunities for others. She fits the way we want to play and will give us another strong option in midfield.”
Before Boston University, Gianino was a two-time state champion at Norwell High School. As a senior, she recorded 16 goals, 12 assists, and earned South Shore League MVP, All-New England and Boston Herald and Boston Globe All-Scholastic honors.
Gianino also won two NPL national championships with South Shore Select, competed in the TST Global 7v7 Soccer Festival with Sportive FC Women, and is on the Boston Dream Team – a nonprofit dedicated to empowering women and girls in leadership, community and professional development.
