Jasmine Hamid scores her first goal of the season as Dallas Trinity FC closes out its two-game homestand
DALLAS (August 22, 2026) – Dallas Trinity FC (0-1-1, 1 point) fell to Carolina Ascent FC (2-0-0, 6 points), 3-1, on Saturday at the Cotton Bowl.
Dallas Trinity FC closed out its two-game homestand with a 3-1 loss to Carolina Ascent FC in front of 1,449 fans at the Cotton Bowl. Despite conceding three goals, Dallas remained aggressive throughout the match and continued to generate opportunities in the attacking third. Jasmine Hamid opened her season scoring tally while Camryn Lancaster recorded an assist in her first start of the season.
Carolina Ascent FC was first to get on the scoresheet in the 23rd minute with Rylee Baisden finding the back of the net on a tap-in made possible by the assist from Jill Aguilera.
Twenty minutes later, Carolina doubled its advantage in a similar fashion, with Audrey Harding scoring in the 43rd minute off an assist from Mackenzie George. Dallas controlled the possession battle through the first half but entered the break trailing 2-0.
Dallas Trinity FC wasted no time attempting to mount a comeback after halftime. Just three minutes into the second half, Camryn Lancaster raced down the wing and set up Jasmine Hamid, who found the back of the net to cut Carolina’s lead in half.
Dallas continued to push for an equalizer, recording 11 shots in the second half. But Carolina added a third goal in the 75th minute when Sydney Cheesman was credited with an own goal restoring the Ascent’s two-goal advantage.
Dallas continued to push through the final whistle, but Carolina held onto its 3-1 lead to secure all three points.
