Aria Nagai (19) – Midfield
Career Bio
Dallas Trinity FC adds midfield depth and championship pedigree with the loan signing of Aria Nagai, a national title winner joining from NWSL side Utah Royals FC.
A Northern Virginia native, Nagai captained her youth club for six consecutive years before starring at Princeton University, where she earned First Team All-Ivy League honors as a senior. She transferred to the University of North Carolina for her graduate season and immediately made an impact — starting all 27 matches and helping the Tar Heels capture the 2024 NCAA National Championship with a win over Stanford in the College Cup Final.
Nagai turned professional with Utah Royals FC, signing her first contract in March 2025 after impressing as a preseason trialist. She’s since earned three separate contracts with the club, steadily building her role in central midfield with strong defensive instincts and composure on the ball.
Now arriving on loan in search of consistent starting minutes, Nagai brings her leadership and winning pedigree to Dallas Trinity FC, reuniting with former Princeton teammates Drew Coomans and Heather MacNab as the club continues its push in the Gainbridge Super League.
