LJ Moore, Kalea Eichenberger and Kaiya Brewer each reached a career milestone in Dallas Trinity FC’s 3-0 win over Fort Lauderdale United FC, adding to an already memorable night at the Cotton Bowl.
October 17, 2026, was already a special night for Dallas Trinity FC. The club welcomed Mexican giants Chivas de Guadalajara Femenil to the Cotton Bowl for the 2026 Texas State Fair Clásico, playing in front of 15,326 fans.
Dallas secured a 3-2 victory, with goals from Kayia Brewer and Juliet “LJ” Moore, while Kalea Eichenberger added an assist. All three players had a hand in the result, but because the match was an exhibition, those contributions did not count toward their official professional records.
A little over two weeks later, the trio returned to the Cotton Bowl. This time, their contributions would go into the record books.
On Nov. 1, Dallas faced Fort Lauderdale United FC and came away with a 3-0 win. LJ scored her first official professional goal, Kalea found the net for the first time in her professional career, and Kaiya recorded the first assist of her career in her professional debut.
Three different milestones. One memorable night for Dallas’ young talent.
A Hometown Moment for LJ
For LJ, scoring her first professional goal in Dallas made the occasion even more meaningful.
A Dallas native, LJ grew up playing for Sting, Solar and D’Feeters before becoming a two-year captain at Ursuline Academy. She helped the Bears win two TAPPS state championships before beginning her collegiate career at Mississippi State. She later transferred to the University of Houston, where she became one of the Cougars’ leading attacking players.
Her professional debut came on Aug. 15 against Tampa Bay Sun FC, giving her the opportunity to begin her professional career in her hometown.
The first goal followed on Nov. 1.
After entering at halftime, LJ found the back of the net in the 75th minute. Sydney Cheesman delivered a well-placed ball into the box, and the forward rose above the Fort Lauderdale defense to head it home, doubling Dallas’ lead.
She had already scored against Chivas Femenil during the State Fair Clásico. This time, the goal counted officially. A first professional goal for the Dallas native, with plenty more hopefully to come.
A First of Her Own for Kalea
Eleven minutes later, Kalea Eichenberger added another goal to the evening.
Kalea began her collegiate career at Cal State Bakersfield before transferring to the University of Washington, where she became an important part of the Huskies’ attack.
Her senior season included a return from injury, helping Washington capture the Big Ten Tournament Championship. She also scored in the NCAA Tournament as the Huskies advanced to the Elite Eight.
Against Fort Lauderdale, Kalea entered as a substitute in the 65th minute. She eventually found herself on the receiving end of a pass from another young player making her professional debut.
Kaiya Brewer set her up, and Kalea made no mistake, finding the net in the 86th minute to put the result beyond doubt.
It was her first professional goal, capping a journey that had already seen her work through injury and make her way back into the starting conversation.
A Brewer Makes Her Professional Debut
The final milestone belonged to Kaiya Brewer.
At just 15 years old, Kaiya had already made an impression at the Cotton Bowl during the Texas State Fair Clásico, opening the scoring against Chivas Femenil. Four days later, on Oct. 21, she signed an academy contract with Dallas Trinity FC, allowing her to train and compete with the first team while maintaining her collegiate eligibility.
She also joined a club where her older sister, Meila Brewer, had already begun making her mark. Meila signed with Dallas on Sept. 9 before earning a selection to represent the United States at the 2026 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup in Morocco.
On Nov. 1, it was Kaiya’s turn to take the field.
She made her professional debut in the 82nd minute and needed just four minutes to make an impact. Her pass found Kalea, who finished the opportunity to score Dallas’ third goal of the night.
The assist was the first of Kaiya’s career. At 15 years and 330 days old, she also became one of the youngest players to record a professional assist in U.S. women’s professional soccer and the youngest in Gainbridge Super League history.
More Than Three Points
Dallas left the Cotton Bowl with a 3-0 victory and three valuable points in the standings. The result also gave three of its young players something they will remember long after the final whistle.
For LJ, it was her first professional goal in the city where her soccer journey began. For Kalea, it was a reward after working her way back from injury. And for Kaiya, a professional debut and an assist at just 15 years old marked the start of what could be a promising career.
The Texas State Fair Clásico had given all three a taste of these moments. Their return to the Cotton Bowl on Nov. 1 made them official.
For Dallas Trinity FC, it was a win that delivered more than three points, with three young players adding their names to the club’s growing list of firsts as the team continues its push toward the playoffs.
