Sydney Cheesman – Defender
Career Bio
Sydney Cheesman joins Dallas Trinity FC after a strong collegiate career with the LSU Tigers women’s soccer and the North Carolina Tar Heels women’s soccer. A versatile defender capable of playing both center back and outside back, Cheesman built a reputation as a composed and reliable presence along the back line.
She finished her collegiate career at LSU, where she became a regular contributor for the Tigers’ defense and helped the program reach the NCAA Tournament Round of 16 for the first time in school history. Across her two seasons at LSU, Cheesman made 40+ appearances while contributing both defensively and in the attack.
Before transferring to LSU, Cheesman began her collegiate career at North Carolina, making nine appearances and gaining experience with one of the most successful programs in NCAA women’s soccer history.
A native of Lafayette, Colorado, Cheesman played her youth club soccer with Colorado Rush before now beginning her professional career with Dallas Trinity FC in the Gainbridge Super League.

International Performance
