Career Bio

Dallas Trinity FC bolsters its goalkeeping depth with the loan signing of Neeku Purcell, a historic transfer whose homegrown journey through the Seattle Reign organization made American soccer history.

A Seattle native, Purcell joined the OL Reign Academy at age 12, developing there for six years and earning back-to-back youth All-American honors before backing up on UCLA’s 2022 NCAA National Championship team. She left college early to turn professional with Brooklyn FC, one of the inaugural USL Super League clubs, where she started 16 of 17 matches and posted four clean sheets. Her subsequent move to Seattle Reign FC in 2025 became the first-ever non-loan transfer from the USL Super League to the NWSL — a landmark deal that helped establish the league’s legitimacy as a pathway to the top level.

Purcell has continued to rise through the U.S. Soccer pipeline, earning multiple U-23 national team call-ups, and Seattle Reign FC signed her to a multi-year extension through 2028 just weeks before sending her out on loan.

Now in search of the regular starting minutes that have eluded her behind an established NWSL goalkeeper, Purcell brings her championship pedigree and rising international profile to Dallas Trinity FC as the club continues its push in the Gainbridge Super League.
