Lauren Flynn – Defender
Lauren joins Dallas Trinity FC as a strong, championship-tested addition to the club’s defensive corps for the 2026 season. A composed and versatile center back, Flynn brings elite winning experience, international youth pedigree, and a relentless competitive spirit to the Trinity back line.
Flynn (born May 22, 2002, in Arlington, Virginia) developed into one of the nation’s top collegiate defenders during her time with the Florida State Seminoles, where she started 79 games and played a crucial role in one of the program’s most successful eras. She helped Florida State capture two NCAA Division I National Championships in 2021 and 2023, anchoring a defense that conceded just one goal in tournament play on the way to the 2023 title and earning NCAA Tournament Most Outstanding Defensive Player honors.
Selected in the second round (16th overall) of the 2024 NWSL Draft by the Utah Royals, Flynn quickly established herself as a key contributor at the professional level. She made her pro debut in April 2024 and tallied double-digit appearances before a midseason injury challenged her resilience. After recovering from bilateral compartment syndrome and returning to play in 2025, Flynn demonstrated her toughness, tactical awareness, and leadership qualities at the highest domestic level.
Internationally, Flynn has represented the United States at the U-20 and U-23 levels, including appearances at the 2022 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup and multiple U-23 camps, showcasing her ability to perform among the best young defenders in the country.
