Career Bio

Dallas Trinity FC adds a versatile playmaker with the signing of Heather MacNab, a Princeton standout who developed into an Ivy League champion at left back after starting her career as a forward.

A Carmel, Indiana native, MacNab’s path to Princeton included a COVID-forced gap year, during which she worked multiple jobs, trained daily, and scored a hat trick in her semi-pro debut with Lady Victory FC. Once on campus, she proved endlessly versatile, deployed at forward, midfield, and wide positions before settling in at left back as a senior, where she earned First-Team All-Ivy honors and helped lead Princeton to the 2024 Ivy League title. She finished her Princeton career with 24 assists in 72 appearances and a perfect record on penalty kicks.

MacNab turned professional with the North Carolina Courage in 2025, working her way from a non-roster trialist to a guaranteed contract through persistence and daily training, before making her NWSL debut in a stoppage-time appearance against Angel City FC.

Now MacNab brings her versatility and vision to Dallas Trinity FC, reuniting with former Princeton co-captain Drew Coomans as the club continues its push in the Gainbridge Super League.
