Dallas continues to battle but splits season series with DC
WASHINGTON, D.C. (October 25, 2026) – Dallas Trinity FC (3-4-2, 11 points) fell to DC Power FC (4-3-2, 14 points), 1-0, on Sunday afternoon at Audi Field.
DC Power FC opened the scoring in the first 10 minutes of play, taking an early 1-0 lead over Dallas. DC midfielder Emily Colton found the back of the net after fellow midfielder Abigail Boyan sent a shot off the crossbar, allowing Colton to capitalize on the rebound and put the home side ahead. The early goal gave DC momentum as the match continued, with both sides battling for possession and looking to establish control.
Dallas looked to respond after conceding, but despite their efforts throughout the remainder of the first half, DC carried its 1-0 lead into the locker room at halftime.

QUOTES
Head Coach Lee Nguyen on the positives the team can take into the next game…
“The mentality of how we approach games. We go into the second half the way we did, one, to be aggressive, and two, win duels. We try to have solutions, play the game on our terms for 90 minutes. When there are other moments and the game isn’t going our way, how do we swing momentum? I think we have to come out with that mentality we had in the second half moving forward. If we do that, we put ourselves in a good position to win games.”
Captain Sophia Braun on her takeaways from the 1-0 result against DC Power FC and the team’s response in the second half…
“I think it was the tale of two halves for sure. We were disappointed with the way we started, but we definitely turned it around. It was noticeable in the second half. I’m really proud of the way we responded, really proud of the way we fought in the second half. We were creating a lot more chances, winning our duels, and on the front foot. I think there are a lot of positives to take from this. We still have a lot to play for, so I think taking those positives into the next couple of games are going to be important for us.”
Defender Cyera Hintzen on the team’s resilience…
“We didn’t let going down early stop us from coming out hard in the second half. I think if we can play both halves like we played the second half, then we can come out on top. I’m proud of the team being resilient and turning it around. Now we just need to play that way for 90 minutes.”

DECLARACIONES
