Dallas Can’t Break Through in Hard-Fought Effort on the Road
JACKSONVILLE (August 29, 2026) – Dallas Trinity FC (0-2-1, 1 point) fell to Sporting JAX (3-0-0, 9 points), 2-0, on Saturday evening at Hodges Stadium.
Dallas Trinity FC continued to build on what it has done well through its first three matches, controlling possession throughout the opening half. Goalkeeper Neeku Purcell also came up with two big saves in the first 45 minutes to keep Dallas within reach. However, Sporting JAX would find the breakthrough in the 45th minute when forward Baylee DeSmit scored from outside the box, giving the home side a 1-0 lead heading into halftime.
Dallas came out of the second half with continued pressure, remaining persistent in creating opportunities as it searched for an equalizer.
However, in the 78th minute, Sporting JAX doubled its advantage when midfielder Sophia Bowman scored off a counterattack. Catherine Rapp was credited with the assist, putting JAX ahead 2-0.
Dallas did get one final look in the 90th minute after earning a penalty kick. However, attacker Jasmine Hamid sent it just wide before the final whistle. Dallas Trinity FC finished its third straight game winning the possession battle, 58%-42%, but Sporting JAX held onto its two-goal advantage for the victory.

Dallas Trinity FC Cae 2-0 ante Sporting JAX
